Gorilla Tours Uganda, Trek Gorillas in Bwindi, Mgahinga
We organize Special Uganda Gorilla Tours for an individual, small groups and a larger cluster of tourists. We take care of their accommodation, comfortable transport and gorilla permits for the tracking exercise. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga National Park are the only two gorilla safari destinations in Uganda. Most of our gorilla trekking safaris are designed as special trips to track gorillas or are combined with other interesting destinations within Uganda and Rwanda. For instance, gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest and Mgahinga Park can be supplemented by a visit to Lake Mburo, Lake Bunyonyi, Rwenzori Mountain, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale, Semuliki, Murchison Falls, Ssese Islands for Chimpanzees, Jinja’s source of the River Nile or a visit to Rwanda. All this depends on our customer’s safari preferences during the Uganda tour. During our gorilla safari tours, we shall take you to any of the four gorilla trekking regions of Bwindi or to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. You may have a gorilla tour to Buhoma Sector in the north of Bwindi or Ruhija region in the east of the park. Other possible areas include Nkuringo sector or Rushaga region of Bwindi.
Starting Points for Our Gorilla Safaris
Uganda Gorilla Trekking from Kigali
Most of our Uganda gorilla trekking trips start from Kigali to Uganda. Uganda Gorilla tours from Kigali include those for one day, two days and maximum three days trips. From Kigali to Bwindi or Mgahinga National Park, it usually take 4 hours. Most of the Uganda gorilla trips from Rwanda are the cheapest and most affordable tours since their duration is short. For instance, on the day you fly into Kigali, you can transfer to Uganda, trek gorillas the next day and return to Rwanda for an evening flight.
Gorilla Safaris in Uganda from Kampala or Entebbe
The gorilla tours from Entebbe are of two categories. There are those that entail flying Entebbe to Bwindi or Kisoro town and transfer by road to the park. And those that entirely done by road to and from Bwindi or Mgahinga. The choice is on you to decide whether to take a flying safari or a road one, either way, the experience is amazing. Unlike gorilla trips to Uganda from Kigali, the safaris from Kampala/Entebbe have a minimum duration of 3 days. This is because, the gorilla parks are far from the gorilla habitats and the driving usually takes 8-9 hours. Flying Entebbe to Bwindi or Kisoro takes one hour.
