Full Adventure Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali, Transfer to Goma

In the morning after your breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you will be picked up by your driver tour guide to start a road journey to Gisenyi, the largest town in the south of the country near Lake Kivu. Upon reaching there, a boat cruise on the Africa’s uppermost lake will offer you with fascinating observations of islands plus the far sights of the famous Nyiragongo volcano. Take lunch there and cross the border with Congo to Goma town, the capital of North Kivu province. Stay overnight in Goma.

Day 2: Nyiragongo Volcano Climbing

Early morning, you will have breakfast and get ready to trek one of the liveliest and intense volcanoes on the African Continent which is also the world’s largest and most un-solidified Lava Lake. Nyiragongo Volcano is situated in the eastern side of the Democratic Republic of Congo, about 19 kms from Goma town and the most active volcano on the whole globe. In the year 1997 and 2002, melted lava up surged and ran through the cracks in the slopes of the volcano and rolled at an excessive rapidity killing scores of human lives alongside dislocating thousands in Goma town.

While on Nyiragongo, the 4 to 5 hour walk via the swanky tropical rain forest will reach the climax with a mesmerizing view of the marvelous lava lake as you prepare to have a night at the crater edge. Dinner and overnight stay in tented shelters erected at the volcano top.

Day 3: Slope down the Volcano and drive to Kigali

After breakfast, start moving down to the starting point, from where you will embark on a transfer back to Gisenyi from where you will drive to Kigali city. You will either have an overnight or take an evening flight to the next destination. End of the Tour.
