Detailed Gorilla Trip Plan
Day 1: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Early morning, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Bwindi Forest. The flight usually takes between 50 minutes to 1 hour basing on the area of Bwindi where you will be trekking gorillas. Upon landing, a waiting driver will transfer you to the lodge for a restful day. Accommodation stay at Silverback Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge or Clouds Lodge (Full Board). These are some of the safari lodges in Bwindi and they can change anytime based on the gorilla trekking sector/region you are visiting.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Uganda
Take breakfast and transfer to the park offices for briefing about gorilla tracking in the jungle before starting the real gorilla safari encounter. You will have your gorilla permit at hand that the park officials will look at. Briefing about the gorilla trekking rules and guidelines in a must for those visiting gorillas. When you bump into the gorillas after some strenuous hiking, you will be filled with utmost happiness and joy. You will take pictures; ask your guide some questions as you observe the gorillas intensely to your amusement. After an hour at the gorilla spot, return to the lodge for a peaceful stay. Day 3: Fly Back to Kampala
Start the day with an early breakfast and then transfer to the airstrip for a flight back to Entebbe. Flying back from Bwindi is ideal for people who dont want to sit for longer hours as they transfer by road.
