Gorilla Trekking Uganda, Wildlife Safaris and Tours

Visit Uganda for 15 days and enjoy gorilla trekking plus a variety of wildlife holiday safaris at several tourist attractions that the country is endowed with. This Uganda tour will take you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking in Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park to see animals and birds plus a Launch Cruise on the Nile, Kibale National Park, a forest with the biggest chimpanzee population in Uganda for chimpanzee tracking and supplemented with Bigodi Nature walk, a site with numerous birds, butterflies and primates plus a day’s visit to Semuliki National Park, where you will pygmies and the hot springs.

You will continue the tour with a visit to Queen Elizabeth National park for wildlife safari and launch cruise on Kazinga Channel, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a marvelous gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi for Community and Nature tours. This whole Uganda Gorilla Tour and Holiday Safaris will be concluded with a visit to Ssese Islands in Lake Victoria for a wonderful relaxation and admiration of nature at large.

The whole trip highlights

Day 1: Arrive in Uganda

On your arrival at Entebbe, our driver receives you and transfers you to Kampala for overnight at Hotel Sojovalo, Cassia Lodge or Serena Hotel.

Day 2: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

Leave Kampala early after breakfast, start your trip to Murchison Falls National Park. Stop on the way and track Uganda rhinos at the Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch. Have lunch enroute and arrive at the park in the evening. Stay overnight at Red Chili, Murchison River Lodge or Paraa Lodge.

Day 3: Do a game viewing drive and an afternoon launch cruise.

Take an early morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on River Nile. On this Uganda Safari, this is a day of seeing numerous animals plus beautiful sceneries across the park. Stay for another night at Red Chili, Murchison River Lodge or Paraa Lodge.

Day 4: A day to transfer to Kibale National Park.

This day is only for driving from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale National Park, a place with the highest number of chimpanzee safaris in Uganda every day. Have lunch on the way, arrive in the evening and stay at Kibale Forest Camp, Kibale Primates Lodge or Kyaninga Lodge.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking Safari and Bigodi Nature tour.
A morning breakfast is followed a chimpanzee tracking safari in Kibale Forest. And lunch is followed by a Bigodi Swamp Nature walk. In summary, it’s a day for seeing chimpanzees, other primate species, birds and beautiful sceneries at large. Stay for overnight at Kibale Forest Camp, Kibale Primates Lodge or Kyaninga Lodge.

Day 6: Tour Semuliki National Park.
A tour to Semuliki National Park will expose you to Sempaya hot springs, pygmies and striking sceneries of the Rwenzoris and the Albert region. Return to fort portal and stay at the Mountains of the Moon hotel for a night.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National and do a Boat Cruise.
This day’s breakfast is followed by a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon boat ride on Kazinga Channel. For two hours on the channel’s waters, you will see many birds and animals both in the water and on the vegetation surroundings; it is an incredible Uganda tour experience. Stay at Enganzi Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 8: Game drive in the morning and afternoon.
You will do a double game viewing, both in the morning and in the evening. With this kind of safari, chances are that many animals will not escape your sight. Stay at Enganzi Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge for another night.

Day 9: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After a breakfast, you have no safari activity but only to drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you will be enjoying your gorilla trekking safari the next day. Arrive in the afternoon and stay Buhoma Community Bandas, Silverback Lodge or Mahogany Springs.

Day 10: Carry out gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Order of the day; breakfast, transfer to the park offices, be briefed about gorilla trekking, start the gorilla safari in the forest, meet the gorillas, stay with them for 60 minutes, leave the forest back to the lodge, stay at Buhoma Community Bandas, Silver back Lodge or Mahogany Springs.

Day 11: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi, enjoy nature and communities
After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, while there, enjoy a canoe ride on the waters, do birding or visit the pygmies if time allows. Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa has stunning views, so resting in the lodge gardens, feeling the soothing breeze of the lake is another unbelievable experience. Overnight stay at Bunyonyi Overland Resort or Bird Nest

Day 12: Move back to Kampala
Start your transfer to Kampala after breakfast. Take lunch in Mbarara town, stop at the Uganda Equator, another tourist spot and reach Kampala in the evening. Stay at Hotel Sojovalo, Cassia Lodge or Serena Hotel.

Day 13: Take a Ferry/Speedboat to Ssese Islands in Lake Victoria.
Take breakfast, be transferred to Entebbe from where you will take a ferry or speedboat to Ssese Island. Relax at the lodge for a comforting experience. Overnight stay at Brovad Sand Beach, Ssese Habitat Resort or Ssese Island Beach Hotel

Day 14: Take pride in Nature
This is the day to rest on the beaches and reflect on the whole trip. You may optionally take a nature walk, swimming in the lodge swimming pool, bird watching, visit BIDCO offices, relax at the beautiful beach and admire nature at large. It’s just an amazing experience gentle winds and peaceful environment. Overnight stay at Brovad Sand Beach, Ssese Habitat Resort or Ssese Island Beach Hotel

Day 15: Leave the Island for the mainland in Entebbe.
After breakfast, you may take a morning ferry or your own speedboat at your preferred time and return to the main land in Entebbe. The driver will receive you and either transfer you to the airport or at any accommodation in Entebbe area depending on your flight programme. This marks the end of the Uganda Gorilla Tour and Holiday Safari.
