At this park, you will have a wildlife game viewing safari, during which several mammals and birds will be seen. There is also another vital safari moment when you take a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. The channel is a 40 kilometre water stream that bonds Lake Edward to Lake George. Along this channel and its shorelines, hippos, buffaloes, elephants and several birds among others are spotted enjoying water during the boat cruise. This Uganda Tour ends with a chimpanzee safari in Kyambura Gorge, a place in Queen Elizabeth National Park where Chimpanzees inhabit.

Uganda Gorillas, Golden Monkeys, Chimps & Wildlife Tour Highlights

Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You are picked from Kampala or Entebbe in the morning and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Stop briefly at the Uganda Equator before continuing with the trip and make another stop in Mbarara for lunch. After lunch, connect straight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where you will arrive in the evening. Overnight at Nshonji Gorilla Resort or Gorilla Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest, Transfer to Kisoro Near Mgahinga National Park.

After an energising breakfast, move to the park offices for a briefing about gorilla trekking in the forest. Gorilla tracking is a process of trekking through bumpy creepers and bushes with your guides looking for the Mountain Gorillas, an exercise that takes some hours. Upon meeting the gorillas in the bushes, stay one hour with them and then return to the lodge where you will have lunch followed by a transfer to Kisoro Town near Mgahinga National Park. Overnight and dinner at Kisoro Travellers Hotel on full board.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking in Mgahinga

Wake up earl, take breakfast and transfer to Mgahinga National Park, the habitat for Golden Monkeys in Uganda. Mgahinga also has got mountain gorillas. Golden monkey trekking is closely similar gorilla tracking in terms of briefing and hiking looking for them. After trekking, drive back to the hotel for lunch, later dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Drive to Savannah Hotel near the Southern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After breakfast, start a drive to Savannah Hotel near the southern portion of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive in the afternoon, have lunch here and stay overnight on full board.

Day 5: Connect to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an Ishasha Sector Game Drive enroute.

Take breakfast and head off in the early hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Ishasha Sector, the southern isolated and fine-looking section of the park, well-known for its lions that climb trees. It is fabulous to see the lions hug or embrace the trees and you will most likely see buffalos and topis among others in this area. After a game drive through Isasha Sector, you will proceed to the upper section of the park where you will arrive in the evening and retire to your lodge. Stay at Kazinga Channel View Resort, Enganzi Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge or Katara Lodge.

Day 6: Have a Morning Game Drive and an afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

Wake up early enough, take something small to eat, go for a game drive in the park. After a game drive, return to the lodge for a heavy breakfast followed by some restful hours. Return to the dining for lunch and then head for a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel, spot lots of birds and animals and then after return to the lodge for another night stay.

Day 7: Enjoy a Uganda Chimpanzee Safari in Kyambura Gorge and return to Kampala

Take an early breakfast, set off for Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee safari. During this safari, you will see chimps plus numerous primate species and birds including the avian species like falcons, the blue-headed bee-eater and the African Fin foot. After the chimps trekking safari, return to the lodge for lunch and later leave for Kampala where you will arrive in the evening. The driver will transfer you to your accommodation.
