Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

On  your arrival, our driver guide will receive you and transfer to Kampala for an overnight stay at Speke Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja for a White Water Rafting Adventure

You are picked up from Kampala early morning, transfer to Jinja to undertake a day’s white  water rafting excursion on River Nile. In afternoon, after rafting, you will have lunch and then visit the source of River Nile. Later in the day, transfer back to Kampala and have an overnight at Speke Hotel.National Geographic Tours Uganda
Day 3: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park Uganda

In the morning, drive to Murchison falls National Park, stop in Masindi for lunch and arrive in the park in the evening. Murchison Falls National Park is characterized by Savannah, riverine forest and wood. There are a variety of animal species that include lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda kobs and number of bird species that one enjoys while trekking chimpanzees. You will drive to the top of the falls where the Nile perfects its beauty. Here you will see the calm Nile forcing its self through a narrow gorge to fall a distance of about 150 feet down producing a thunderous roar of white water- incredible scenery. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge or Sambiya River Lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Voyage on River NileNational Geographic Tours Uganda

Have a game drive in the morning where you will see animals like lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants and many more. After lunch in the afternoon, go for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls which is very much worthwhile charming exercise and exposes you with to animals like crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and many birds. Overnight at Para Safari Lodge or Pakuba Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Visit the Top of the Falls and Transfer to Kibale National Park 

Early morning after breakfast, drive to the Top of the Falls and see how the world’s longest river forces itself in a narrow gorge creating a deafening mistry uproar. It is a marvellous scene for anyone on a Uganda safari to Murchison Falls. The rock’s geographic setup offer a good platform to see the wild falls fight for a small rocky space. Awed with what you have seen, you will then leave for Kibale National Park. Have an en route lunch and reach the park in the evening. Overnight at Kyaninga Lodge, Primates Lodge Kibale, Crater Safari Lodge or Mountains of the Moon Hotel.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale

In the morning, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before heading through the forest to search for chimpanzees.  You will come close to chimps and other primates like the red tailed monkeys, colobus monkeys and many more. The trek will give you an opportunity to view a wide range of primates, birds and butterflies through a network of shady forest trail. In the afternoon you will go for a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland area and then after retire for Overnight at Kyaninga Lodge, Primates Lodge Kibale, Crater Safari Lodge or Mountains of the Moon Hotel.

Day 6: Visit the Sempaya Hot Springs in Semuliki Game Reserve & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive early to Semuliki National Park, visit the Sempaya Hot Springs and Batwa. Return to Fort Portal for lunch after which you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Overnight stay at Ihamba Safari Lodge, Enganzi Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Drive To Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and arrive in the afternoon to go for boat ride on the Kazinga channel. You will see animals like the hippos, buffaloes and plenty of birds for birders. Overnight at Mweya safari lodge or Mweya hostel.

Day 8: Game Drive and Nature Tours

In the morning you will have game drive in the park searching for animals like lions, elephants, hyenas, buffaloes, bush buck, Uganda kobs, wart hogs and many more. Soon after you will visit the Crater Lake region on your way. Visit Katwe Salt Lakes and return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will walk into Kyambura gorge in search for primates like the baboons, bush babies, colobus monkeys and chimpanzees plus many more. Overnight stay at Ihamba Safari Lodge, Enganzi Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Enjoy Game Drive as you head to Bwindi, the Gorilla habitat 

Have a game drive en-route in the Ishasha sector and you will see the tree climbing lions as you transfer to Bwindi impenetrable  forest, the territory of the gorillas. You will reach the park in the evening. Overnight and dinner at Gorilla Resort or Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 10: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast in the morning, get your packed lunch and move to the forest in a look for of the huge apes. The search might take you about 2 to 9 hours before you come across the gorillas. Once you meet them, you spend an hour with them watching them how they feed, play and care for their young ones. Afterwards, you will return to your lodge.

Day 11: Travel to Lake Bunyonyi Uganda

Wake up to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi one of the deepest crater lakes in Uganda. This lake is characterized by a multitude of small islands in it. You will reach in the afternoon to settle down by the shores. You may perhaps decided to go for a boat ride to Bushara Island or have a walk around the shores of the lake the place is known to be a home to lots of small birds. Overnight at Bushara Island, Bunyonyi Overland camp.

Day 12: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park 

Wake up early enough, freshen up, take your breakfast and drive to Lake Mburo National park where you will reach in the afternoon after lunch in Mbarara town. On arrival, check in at either Mantana tented camp or Rwonyo camp and go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo to view animals like the hippos’ buffaloes, and crocodiles alongside the many birds around the area which are attractive to see.

Day 13: Travel back to Kampala  

You will start your journey to Kampala after breakfast. You will drive through Lyantonde, Masaka, Mpigi and make a stop at the Uganda Equator. Continue to Kampala and arrive in the evening Overnight at Jinja Nile Resort or Hotel triangle.

Day 14: A Day Trip to Ngamba Island for 
Chimpanzee Feeding 

You will move to Ngamba Island for an exciting chimpanzee watching. Ngamba Island, a Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT) in Lake Victoria, was established as a combined national and international initiative and a globally recognized collaborative conservation effort, aimed at developing and implementing a long-term strategy for conservation of chimpanzees and their habitat. The island is a home to 40 orphaned chimpanzees which are an endangered species found in forests and 20 of which have been brought to the island from when the sanctuary opened. Overnight on Ngamba Island Tented Camp

Day 15: Viewing Chimpanzees in Ngamba 

Have breakfast to go for a forest walk on the island with the young chimpanzees. After the walk you will sail to the main lake shores in Entebbe from where you will be driven to a hotel in Entebbe. Stay at Protea Hotel.

Day 16: Airport Transfer for a flight to the next 
destination
