Primate Trekking Rwanda: Gorillas, Golden Monkeys and Chimpanzee Trekking in Rwanda
This Rwanda Primate trekking tour entails gorilla and golden monkey trekking in the Volcanoes National park and chimpanzee safari in Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Day 1. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
You will meet your guide/driver at the hotel where you spent your night at exactly 10:00am and he will take you through Kigali town to visit the genocide memorial from where you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park in the northern province of Rwanda.

Day 2. Gorilla trekking in the volcanoes national park.
After your early morning breakfast, meet the guide who will take you to the gorilla tracking information centre for a short briefing about gorilla tracking. Trekking these primates is such a pleasing activity though very wearisome but once you meet them is worth the effort used. The trekking involves moving through slopes, foothills of the mountain that are sometimes very slippery and muddy because of the tropical rain forest that brings rain in most cases. Therefore you are advised to carry waterproof jackets, hiking shoes and move with packed lunch because the trekking time is never exact. Upon meeting the might Gorilla Mountains, you are allowed 1hour viewing them as they interrelate. After the trekking you will be transferred back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3. Golden monkey tracking in the volcanoes.
After the breakfast, the guide will pick your from the hotel to the tracking information centre for a short briefing. The guide will lead you through the forest in search for these attractive primates. Golden monkey trekking is similar to mountain gorilla trekking though these endangered little primates can be easily seen since they keep on moving within the forest .it such astonishing that as you move through the forest, you will have a chance to see different bird species that stay in this forest therefore its truly an amazing experience to see them interrelating with each other
. After the trekking, you will be transferred to Gisenyi at Lake kivu. Check in to the hotel then you can relax at the beach or go for swimming to relax and refresh your body for the next day activities.

Day 4.Transfer to Nyungwe national.
On this day ,you will spend the morning hours relaxing and later join the afternoon boat cruse at the lake as you enjoying the vast fresh waters and the cool breath at the lake. This is one of exciting activities while at lake kivu ,later gate back to the hotel for lunch ,check out from the hotel and transfer to Nyungwe national park.

DAY 5. Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe national park.
Early morning tracking immediately after your morning breakfast and briefing by the park warden from headquarters. Trekking the chimpanzee can take anything from a few hours or a full day depending where they are allocated. trekking hours is unpredictable and seeing the chimpanzee is not guaranteed therefore you should be in position to move for a long distances within the dense rain forest .trekking chimpanzee is such a thrilling activity and you have a great chance of to see other number of primates in the forest such as colobus monkeys silver monkeys ,grey cheeked mangabey. After the trekking, you will return back to the hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 6. Canopy walk in Nyungwe forest.
After you breakfast, the guide will pick from the hotel and proceed for a canopy walk. Canopy walk is the most thought-provoking a activity due to the fact that it involves walking on a metallic bridge that are suspended and nearly to 200feet and hanging 60 metres above the forest floor between the giant trees and towers amidst the forest which enables bird watching and seeing the sparkling national treasure of Rwanda .after the walk, you will get back to the hotel for lunch and after transfer to Kigali for an overnight stay. Day 7. Transfer to Akagera national park.
The guide/driver will take you to the eastern province of Rwanda after your breakfast and being briefed about the safari. Upon reaching Akagera national park, check in to the hotel and then proceed for the afternoon canoe ide at Lake Ihema .the canoe ride at the lake gives a chance to see beautiful water loving animals such as the hippos, crocodiles ,water birds like shoe bill stork, papyrus and African fish eagle. This will mark the end of the day.

Day 8 .Game drive and transfer back to Kigali.
After the early morning breakfast, you will set off for an early morning game drive which will reward you views of different wildlife such as bush back,zebra,cape eland, giraffe ,antelopes, elephants, oribi, black-tailed mongoose, and other number of primates such as bush baby, olive baboon, vervet monkeys. You will return back to the lodge in the later afternoon for lunch and after the guide will drive you back to the hotel or to the airport for your departure flight.
