Detailed Uganda Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe, transfer to Kampala for overnight.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, transfer to Kampala for overnight. Stay at Cassia Lodge or Speke Hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Have an en route Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Take breakfast and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Enjoy an Rhino Trekking en route at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola district. After tracking the rhinos, proceed to the park with an en route lunch in Masindi town. Arrive at the park in the afternoon. Stay overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge on full board.

Day 3: Game Drive, Boat Cruise and a Tour to the Top of the Falls

Start the day with an early morning game drive before dawn to catch upwith the early risers. This exciting game drive will enable you spot animals like the jackals, hartebeests and oribi. Others include bushbucks, bohor reed bucks, hyenas, giraffes, lions, antelopes, elephants and the Uganda kob among others. For the lovers of tours and safaris in Uganda, Murchison Falls is the place to go.

You will rest from the game drive for anything to eat and later on lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise on River Nile during which you will see lots of animals and birds. After the cruise, hike to the top of the falls and then transfer to back to Pakuba Safari Lodge on full board.

Day 4: Drive to Kibale National Park

After early breakfast, drive off straight to Kibale National park, the habitat for chimpanzees in Uganda. Arrive in the evening. Overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp, Primates Lodge Kibale or Crater Safari Lodge on full board.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Nature Walk

You will have breakfast and then after go for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest. You will come close to chimps and other probable primates like the red-tailed monkeys, colobus monkeys and many more. The trek will give you an opportunity to see a quite a number of primates, birds and butter flies in the  forest-sheltered trails. After good times with chimps, return to the lodge for lunch. Take an evening nature walk in the Bigodi Swamp. Expect to see lots of primates, birds and insects. Retire to Kibale Forest Camp, Primates Lodge Kibale or Crater Safari Lodge on full board.

Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP, do an afternoon Boat Ride on Kazinga Channel

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arrive early enough and take a rest.After lunch at the lodge, you will go for a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel. This channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park is 40 km water channel that joins Lakes George and Edward. Any tourist to this park cannot fail to be impressed by the Channel’s astonishing wildlife variety. It’s where many buffaloes rest in the water while big herds of elephants and different bird species can be seen enjoying themselves along the channel shores.

Many visitors who participate in the 2 hour launch cruise along the channel regard it as the highlight of their African safari. The channel also has concentrations of hippos and birds. In short, this water cruise offers afirst-rate platform for perfect photography, far-reaching bird-watching and game viewing. Retire in the evening to Enganzi Lodge, Katara Lodge, Kyambura Game Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge (Full Board)

Day 7: Do a morning game drive and drive to Bwindi Forest

You will wake up early enough, take your breakfast and then set off for a morning game drive, during which you will likely see hippos, elephants, spotted hyenas, lions, leopards,stripped jackals, bushbucks, water bucks and warthogs and many wild animals. Retire from the game drive late morning and go back to the lodge for a rest as you admire nature. Late morning, you will set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park going through the southern part of the park. Arrive in the afternoon and stay overnight at Silverback Lodge, Buhoma Lodge or Mahogany Springs on Full Board

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest followed by a Community walk

Get breakfast, transfer to park offices to begin your adventure.You will get some briefing from a local guide and hike into theforest to meet the mountain gorillas. The time taken is between 3- 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Coming face to face with the gorillas is one of the most thrilling experiences of a life time. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures from a close range, observing adults feeding, groaning and resting as the minors play and move backward and forward in an amusingly rib-tickling parade. After trekking, return to the lodge. In the evening, you will go for a community/nature to the surrounding villages. You may visit the pygmies and appreciate how they live their ancient lives in this modern world. Overnight at Silver back Lodge, Buhoma Lodge or Mahogany Springs on Full Board

Day 9: Drive back to Kampala

Take breakfast and then set off across the beautiful hills of Kabale as you return to Kampala. Have lunch enroute and continue to Kampala making a brief stopover at the Uganda Equator for some simple break and Mpambire traditional handicraft makers. Arrive in Kampala in the evening. You will decide where the driver should transfer you, either to drop you in Kampala or Entebbe area.

Day 10: Drive to Entebbe, take a ferry cruise to Ssese Island

Early afternoon, you will leave Kampala for Entebbe. After lunch in Entebbe, you be transferred to Nakiwogo landing site from where you will take a ferry voyage to Ssese Island where you will arrive in the evening. Overnight at Brovad Sand Beach, Ssese Habitat Resort or Pearl Gardens Beach (Full Board)

Day 11: Have a day of relaxation on the island

You will have a restful day at the island plus lots of optional activities. You will relax at the beautiful beach and appreciate nature at large.

Day 12: Return to the main land, take a departure flight

On this day in the morning, you will take a ferry voyage back to the main landin Entebbe and then after be transferred to the airport for your flight. End of the Tour.
