Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Gorilla Forest
After breakfast in Kampala, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the Gorilla safe haven. You will have a brief photo stop at the Equator and a lunch break in Mbarara. The drive will take you through towns, homesteads, grasslands and banana vegetation to reach the park in the evening. Sign in the lodge and go for a community walk to the surrounding areas. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma Community.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Have a descent breakfast and move with packed lunch to the park headquarters for briefing and at 9:00 am, start your trek in the impenetrable forest in a seek out for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these modest giants the walk might take between 2-9 hours before you come upon the Gorillas. The walk is tiresome but thrilling when you meet and spend time with them. Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoy Kazinga Channel Boat Ride
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park after breakfast. Drive through the Ishasha sector famous for tree-climbing lions and other game enroute. After lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge, gather your strength for a Launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel that stands between Lakes Edward and George. This launch cruise will reward you with game like hippos, buffaloes, and plenty of birds. For birders this is another paradise. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Hostel.
Day 4: Wildlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth, Return to Kampala.
Before sunrise you will go for a game drive in the pack to search for predator and nocturnal dwellers as they return to their hide outs. Expect species such as Elephants, buffaloes, side stripped jackals, hyena, leopards, Lions, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, Giant forest Hogs to mention. After the game drive you will drive back to Kampala and arrive in the evening. End of the Safari.
