Double Gorilla Trekking in Uganda

Most of the times visitors choose to do double gorilla trekking in Uganda because of the interesting nature of the excursion in the jungle. And it is normal to do gorilla tracking twice to fully enjoy and attain the best primate experience in Uganda. In short, to some tourists, contentment is only achieved by doing double gorilla tours in Uganda for two consecutive days but with different groups.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After breakfast, you will be picked from Kampala to transfer to Bwindi Forest. You will stop at the Uganda Equator for a few minutes and make a second stop at Mbarara for a hot lunch. Proceed with the journey and arrive at the park in the evening. Take an overnight stay at Gorilla Safari Lodge of Gorilla Mist Camp on full board.

Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest 

You will have breakfast at the lodge followed by transfer to the park offices for briefing. After a briefing, you will be led by a local qualified guide plus rangers to the forest, marking the beginning of an incredible gorilla trekking in Uganda. On meeting gorillas physically, you will passionately stay with them for one hour admiring them and taking pictures to your desire. You will then return to the lodge for a restful evening or a community tour to the nearby environs especially to the pygmies or local people communities. Return to the same lodge for your overnight stay on full board.

Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking 

On this day, the process of gorilla tracking of yesterday repeats itself. On the second day, same gorilla trekking rules and regulations apply to visitors. But this time, a special request is made so that you are allocated a different gorilla family/group to be able to enjoy different gorillas, in a different environment with different guides. In the afternoon or evening, return to the same lodge for overnight.

Day 4: Transfer Back Kampala.

Take breakfast and drive back to Kampala. Make a stop enroute for lunch and arrive in Kampala in the evening. The driver will drop you off at your booked lodge or at Entebbe airport. End of the tour.
