Detailed Gorilla Tracking and Nature Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Begin in the morning your gorilla safari to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in western Uganda. Stop at the Uganda Equator for photo shots), Uganda Equator is an imaginary point where the Northern Hemisphere separates from the Southern Hemisphere, and it’s a tourist spot for photo taking and souvenirs shops. Proceed with the journey and have a lunch stop in Mbarara Town. After lunch, you will proceed with the journey and arrive at the park in the evening. Overnight at Mahogany Springs, Gorilla Resort, Gorilla Mist Camp (Full Board)

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Get breakfast, move to the park offices with your gorilla permit for briefing and then begin your gorilla trekking adventure. Coming face to face with these mountain gorillas is one of the most electrifying experiences you can ever have. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures and you will enjoy them from a close range observing adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters play and move backward and forward in a pleasantly comical demonstration. With time allowing, you may use the evening enjoying guided village walk to nearby communities. Overnight at Mahogany Springs, Gorilla Resort, Gorilla Mist Camp (Full Board)

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, Enjoy Nature and Community Tours

Immediately after breakfast, drive off to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa, good scenery and amazing waters. Arrive mid-morning and take a nature walk around the lake. You will also visit the typical Abaheesi (black smiths) societies or to the Bukora Cave. Have lunch at the resort and use the afternoon or evening for a boat ride and go for a cycling tour of the area, going to Orugano Rain Forest which has diverse plants and animals and some community tourism through interaction with the Batwa (pygmies) who inhabit parts of the forest and its surrounding areas. Stay overnight at Arcadia Cottages, Bunyonyi Overland Resort or Bunyonyi Safari Resort (Full Board)

Day 4: Drive Back to Kampala

Wake up at your own pace, have breakfast and start your journey back to Kampala. Enjoy lunch enroute and arrive in Kampala in the evening. You will be transferred to your accommodation. This is the end of the Trip.
