Rwanda Safari to Akagera National Park 

Full Trip Programme 

Day 1: Drive from Kigali to Akagera National Park

You will be picked from Kigali International airport upon arrival by our company representative who will drive you to Kigali. Alternatively if you are already in Kigali, after breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by our company representative who will transfer you to Akagera National Park which takes about 2.5 hours, check in at the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight stay. The Akagera National Park borders with Tanzania in the East. The vegetation with in this park is mainly Savannah, mountain and swamp. It’s a home to various animals and birds, and a very big lake called Lake Ihema.

Day 2: Do a wonderful Game drive and Boat Ride on Kagera River

Wake up early enough, take breakfast and later go for a game drive safari during which, you will spot animals like elephants, buffaloes, lions, Masai giraffe, gazelles, impala, baboons, oribi, zebra, topi, bush baby, leopard and bush buck while on the game drive. You will later go to the lodge, have lunch and after go for an afternoon boat ride on Lake Ihema. While doing a boat ride you will spot animals like hippos, crocodiles, and birds like the Shoe billed stock, herons, papyrus gonolek, ibis, sand pipers and jacanas among others. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 3: Kigali – Departure
After breakfast you will drive back to Kigali and proceed to the airport for your departure flight.
