Bwindi Mgahinga Conservation Trust (BMCT)

Bwindi Mgahinga Conservation Trust (BMCT) was set up in 1994 under the Uganda Trustees Laws to conserve the biodiversity of the two gorilla parks in Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park are the two destinations that make up Bwindi-Mgahinga Conservation Area. The tourist areas are homes to the endangered mountain gorillas in Uganda and the BMCT establishment was a wake up call to the conservation and protection of these primates which attract hundreds of visitors every year under the conception of gorilla trekking.
