Uganda Gorilla Trekking Permit Availability

Uganda Gorilla Trekking Permit Availability

The Uganda Gorilla Trekking Permit Availability is the basis for seeing mountain gorillas. A Gorilla permit once booked qualifies one to participate and enjoy the gorilla safaris in Bwindi or Mgahinga. The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is responsible for reserving, selling and issuing gorilla permits in Uganda. You are required to be holding a gorilla permit in order to trek mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.Uganda Gorilla Trekking Permit

We do check availability of gorilla permits for individual travellors/tourists and international companies. Bwindi has 19 Gorilla families open for visiting everyday and thus several permits are available for clients and companies to buy.

When you use our services, we will then contact Uganda Wildlife Authority who are in charge of selling and issuing permits on behalf of the government and we will tell you the number of these entry passes available.

While requesting for permit availability, you need to specify the year, month and date so that we check basing on your preferred date and time. You should also note that the availability of these permits change anytime. Therefore, we advise that once we confirm presence of them, please do buy permits in advance like 4 to 5 months in advance to avoid shortage and all the inconveniences associated with last minute bookings.

Gorilla Safari Booking

Uganda wildlife Authority has a reservation system that allows you to call one of the reservations staff so as to establish availability but you can as well send them an email and they will get back to you with availability. If you want to try your luck directly with the wildlife body, please do so anytime of the day.

To avoid the above problem, please do contact us within a year, month and exact dates when you want to trek and we will check availability of permits and advise each permits per family plus which side of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is because Bwindi forest has both the south and the north where gorilla families are located and can be trekked from any of the sections.

Once we have confirmed the gorilla permit availability, we will send you our invoice for payment and once money is wired on to our Bank Account, we will request you to send us your passport details as they are needed by Uganda Wildlife Authority for them to issue out your gorilla permit. We will then scan and send you a copy of this gorilla permit for your records and perusal.

You will get the permit from our office on arrival in Uganda or the driver guide will come along with it and you do not have to worry, it would be in safe custody till your day for tracking. Our office is open all the time and we can be reached by telephone call or email.  Please do contact us for details.
